Good Film

Films are work of art that I love. Films introduce you in a new world and news feelings that you can feel in a short time. Last time I felt hypnotized by a film was to two months ago, when I saw “Celda 211". It is a spanish movie. This film shows the life in the prison. It is intense, provocative and hard movie. You are all time tense because in this movie happen sad and amazing things. Everybody must see this film.
For me a good film must be intense, with a good history, good sound and good characters. It must be integrated history and not just different line of action. It must to have an amazing end and when it is a good movie you can spend hours after of see it thinking in the film. It catches you. The most important is the story, then the acting and the last special effects. This is because the story is central in a good film, although a good movie can not a good story if the acting are not good. They can to ruin the film. This has happened in some movies like “Mujeres Infieles” a Chilean movie that is interesting but the acting is awful. To be a good movie is not necessary special effect, although some time this is a plus for a good movie. For example “Inception”, movie who has good story, good acting and amazing special effects.
Industry film depends of money of different institutions or private people whose give money help to make films. This industry depends too of space to make films, like “Hollywood” and its scenarios to make a picture. And finally this industry depends of technology to make special effects and cartoons like “Shrek”.
I can not say if a director is most important than producer, because both are very necessary to make a good film. Although director gives the touch to make of this a really work of art.

How green are you?

People learn about enviroment and its care in the school y sometimes in their homes. Generally there is not some much information of how can you care the enviroment. Usually people teach us somethings like you cant throw trash in some place. Although is very important, it is just a point of the pollution. The real problem is associated with some much way of make the things, like when you drive cars, industry and his combustion, the use of detergent, etc.
When I was a child I recycled glass, paper and plastyc. My parents had a garbage collector with separation. It was ver funny when we went to leave our things to a ecologycal place. This place was out Los Andes city. I live in Santiago since I was eighteen years old and I don't recycle becouse y don't have car or a near plce where I can leave my trash. It is not just that, I have not looked for a place where I can Recycle.
I use a bike in Santiago, but sometimes distances in Santiago are large so I can ride on bike. For example I use my bike to go to the University and I take fourty five minutes in arrive. If I want to go the center of Santiago I can not go in bike becouse thare some much cars and I they scare to me.
I had not been a member of organization, becouse I dont know how I can be incorporated o I dont have time for that. I believe that to help to world is not neccesary make that things. You can begin in your house to help at world.
I have reduced my carbon footprint getting shorter showers, using bike and using electric light only if it neccesary.

Santiago is one of the most important cities of South America. It is a big city with so many beautiful and interesting places that you must to visit. One of them is San Cristobal hill that it is very huge and pretty. It has a zoo, an amazing view when you arrive to the top of hill. You can go by bicycle, car or “funicular”. Funicular is a sort of inclined elevator.
Another place is Plaza Ñuñoa where yo can go to eat and drink several kind of food like mexican, japanese, spanish and chilean food. There is a discotheque called La Batuta. It is very funny place. Music groups play everynight there.
Bellas Artes Museum is an importan national museum placed in Forestal Park. It’s a small museum, but It has beatiful colletions. It has an exhibition about the history of chileand painting. Near of museum yo can enjoy a good coffe or an ice cream in small coffe shops with good atmosphere.
Near Santiago yo can find smalls towns and pretty mountains and countrys like Pirque, San José de Maipo, Colorado hill, etc. In these places there a exquisit typical food like “pastel de choclo” and “pan amasado”. If you come to Santiago you can not lose the chance of vistit this amazing places.

First humans shared Britain with a menagerie of large animals

This a piece of news is about first human that arrived to England in Pleistocene period. Homo antecessor is ancient human who live in England to eigth hundred fifty thousand years ago. In Norlfok, land was covered with confeorous forest, where lived mammoths, horse and giant elk.
Happisburgh is really an exceptional site becouse it has a several fossils of plants, human and animals of Pleistocene.
Pleistocene was a frozen period whit a climate coled. Homo antecesor had a several troubles like carnivore animals and cold climage to live in these places.
Homo antecessor had that live with huge animal, like Sabre-toothed cats, who was a big carnivore and it hunted to human populations. Another "hunter animal" is an hyena the size of a lion.
Archaeologists explain how flint tools found on the Norfolk coast reveal how the first humans in Britain lived. Several tools like blunt, stone tools, etc. To see this, there is an article in Nature journal where scientist publish their result of this study.

Its very importan study of paleontology and anthropology to understand how did human live in Europe when they go out from Africa y how did they built a new life in this "new world". I think that it is importan knows about our origin and it is for this taht I chose this article.

Culture and Science

First I think that any change in a society is the result of a serial of people and fact that integrate different ways of make the thinks. One of that is in the cultural and sciense areas. Whit this I refer to how political powers work in these two aspects. I would like that there was more economical and tecnical support in schools, public librays and cultural center. Whit this, people will can to access a different books, reviews, journals, art, etc. All this a cheap or free costs. For example I would like down taxis to books and to add news knowledge to kids, young and old people. All this is becouse is very necesary that people have acces to a different ideas and art. Of course I know that with this I cant change all the word but I can help to my society to be a best sociaty.

Good And Bad Points

Another semester has finally come to end. besides the tiredness, I'm happy in many ways.

I had a class about Rapa Nui that I found very interesting because of its culture and historic -and prehistoric- facts of how everything in this little Island started gestating

About sports, I didn't do much this time, just played some basquetball. Somehow I didn't have so much spare time for it, or for other activities either... now that I write about it, I can't believe that all the leisure time I had, I spent it watching movies (American Crime was a really good one). Most of the time I was studying or working at the lab, where things didn't come out right, always, so I had to have a lot of patience and constancy.

I didn't spend much time with my friends this semester; instead I spent it with my family. My mom had to get a surgery of her shoulder, so I traveled a lot to Los Andes to be with her and everybody else.

The most memorable time, I have to say it was a little before the first semester started. I went to do a field work close to Temuco, with a professor and another friend of the class. One of those days we went to Panguipulli Lake and spent the whole afternoon rowing on a boat at the middle of the lake, far away from people. It was very relaxing. At that time, I couldn't imagine the tough semester that was coming ahead.

I had a pretty intense semester, but it was good.

to reality: Be a a physical anthropologist!
